Hi Beauties! So for those of you that follow me on my social media you already know that I ended my quarter of a century in the Bahamas :) I have always dreamed of blue warm waters, silky sands and pink skies so this was a dream come true for me.
We stayed in Exuma, Nassau is the most popular island for tourists as it is more city like than Exuma but I was only concerned about beaches and relaxing so decided to go to the Exuma instead. If you ever plan to visit the Bahamas you will realize that deciding on where to stay will actually be the hardest decision. There are so many islands, so many resorts and they all look beautiful. Most people stay in Resorts but I really wanted us to explore the Bahamas on our own so we decided to rent a home for the week. The Bahamas was everything I expected and more, and the locals were so friendly and helpful when getting around. The food was delicious! And to those of you that know me know that I am not too adventurous with my food but everything I tried I liked! The first night we were there we went to a local spot where we learned that their most popular food item is conch and fish fry. Conch is served in a variety of different ways such as fried, cracked with fries or rice and fish fry is literally that, a fish fried.
Our activities consisted of tanning, boat riding, swimming with sharks, petting swimming pigs, lizards and chasing turtles. Without knowing we also went a on holiday weekend for them so we got to see a little of their carnival!
A huge thank you to Gaby Rodriguez (IG: @bahamasphotographer) for showing us around and taking these beautiful pictures for us and Adam from @Bahamascatcharters for giving us a tour on his awesome boat Rubycon.
